This is too sweet! Justin gives Hailee a very public shout-out for her Oscar nomination!
Justin Bieber and Hailee Steinfeld must have really hit it off at Jan. 16 at the Golden Globes, because the young actress is earning Biebs’ support online! Hailee was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar, and Justin tweeted his congratulations to Hailee for his nearly 7 million followers!“Met at the Globes and she is super talented,” Justin, 16, tweeted Jan. 25. “CONGRATS to Hailee Steinfeld for being 14 and getting nominated for an OSCAR for TRUE GRIT!”
The two first met at the 68th Annual Golden Globes ceremony, where they presented the award for Best Animated Feature Film together. Hailee appeared on the Today Show on Jan. 13, where she said she was “very excited” to meet Justin at the event.
The star also gave her reaction to learning she was nominated for her role as Mattie in True Grit: “I was asleep and I heard my mom and dad screaming in the other room,” she said. “It was very exciting. It’s incredible. I’m in shock.” After her recent snub by Lea Michele, we’re pretty sure earning the support of her peers is incredible news!
